한일 수교 60주년 – 역사적 유산과 현재의 갈등 사이의 기념일. 한독 청년 네트워크의 이번 8번째 워킹페이퍼는 양국 간의 복잡한 발자취를 조명합니다. 윤석열 전 대통령으로부터 야기된 한국 내 불안정한 정치 상황부터 일본과의 전략적 관계 재성립, 그리고 중국, 북한, 미국으로 인한 지정학적 요인까지 다룹니다. 또한, 외교 정책 수단으로서 문화 정책의 역할에 대해서도 비판적으로 논의합니다. 변화를 겪고 있는 두 이웃 국가를 청년의 관점에서 다각적으로 살펴봅니다.

60 Jahre diplomatische Beziehungen zwischen Japan und Südkorea – ein Jubiläum zwischen historischem Erbe und aktuellen Spannungen. Der neue Thesenband des Netzwerks Junge Generation Deutschland-Korea beleuchtet die komplexe Entwicklung beider Staaten: von Südkoreas innenpolitischer Krise unter Präsident Yoon über Japans strategische Neuausrichtung bis hin zu geopolitischen Herausforderungen durch China, Nordkorea und die USA. Auch die Rolle von Kulturpolitik als außenpolitisches Instrument wird kritisch diskutiert. Ein vielschichtiger Blick auf zwei Nachbarn im Wandel – aus der Perspektive einer jungen Generation.

The 60 year anniversary of dimplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea is marked by historical heritage and current tensions. The new thesis volume published by the Netzwerk junge Generation Deutschland-Korea sheds light on the complex development of both countries: from South Korea’s domestic political crisis under President Yoon to Japan’s strategic realignment and geopolitical challenges posed by China, North Korea and the USA. The role of cultural policy as a foreign policy instrument is also critically discussed. A multi-layered look at two neighbours in transition – from the perspective of a young generation.
