Damit startet es sein neues Format, die sogenannten „Shorts“. Während sich die Thesenpapiere des Netzwerks ausführlich und wissenschaftlich einem Thema widmen, entsprechende Hintergründe in Deutschland wie Korea beleuchten und schließlich zu Handlungsempfehlungen kommen, wollen die Shorts oft kürzere und kurzweiligere, weniger wissenschaftliche Impulse aussenden. Sie können sowohl tagesaktuelle als auch kulturelle Themen aufgreifen.

In unserem ersten Short „Couple Culture in Korea“ erfahrt ihr, warum heute die Männer an der Reihe sind, ihren Partnerinnen Geschenke zu machen, welche Dinge man seiner oder seinem Liebsten besser nicht schenken sollte, und welche Rolle K-Dramen beim Dating spielen. To mark today’s ‘White Day’ in South Korea, the think tank of the Network Young Generation Germany-Korea is publishing an article on the topic of ‘Couple Culture in Korea’.
This also highlights the launch of a new format, the so-called ‘Shorts’. While the network’s thesis papers deal with a topic in detail and academically, shedding light on the relevant background in Germany and Korea and ultimately coming up with recommendations for action, the Shorts often aim to provide shorter, more entertaining and less scientific insights. Shorts can address both current and cultural topics.
In our first Short, ‘Couple Culture in Korea,’ you will learn why it is now the men’s turn to give gifts to their partners, what things are better not to give to your loved one, and what role K-dramas play in dating. We also take a brief look at Korean society and explain why some young Koreans are giving up dating altogether.
